Guest Post | Dreamingxpretty | Inside My Makeup Bag

Hello Lovelies, so if you follow me on Twitter and Bloglovin you will know that I am away on my Summer holiday in Turkey for 2 weeks. Instead of leaving you all with noting to read I had asked Amanda from dreamingxpretty if she would kindly do a guest post for me. I love her blog and writing style and am always inspired after reading her posts so please check her blog out!

First of all I'd just like to say hi to all you lovely followers of Amy. It's Amanda here from over at dreamingxpretty.blogspot.co.uk, Amy has kindly asked me to do a guest post for her whilst she is away and I must say I am completely honoured to have been chosen to do this!

When trying to decide on what my post would be about I had so many different ideas but I settled on an Inside My Makeup Bag post. I chose this because I love these kind of posts and really enjoy reading them plus I am a seriously nosey person so being able to see inside someone else's makeup bag is like a dream come true.

So without further a do here is an insight into my makeup bag:

-Clarins Everlasting Foundation is my all time favourite foundation, I tend to sway between shades 109 & 110 depending on if I have a bit of a tan or if I'm having a paler day. It is such a lovely consistency, quite thick but blends ultra easily. It contains an SPF 15 which is great for me as I am always so paranoid about keeping my face protected from the sun. With majority of foundations that contain SPF you end up with a white face on photos but however with this one this doesn't happen. Don't ask me why because I really don't know but it is fantastic!!
-Chanel Healthy Glow Sheer Powder in No40, I use this just lightly all over my face to set my makeup and then use to contour just slightly on my cheekbones using a little more product. It has that signature Chanel scent and it is just such a lovely product to use, my boyfriend always tells me how amazing I smell when I use this powder. What I love most about this product is that it comes with a handy little brush inside the compact so there is no need to carry makeup brushes around with you.
-Benefit Rockateur blush, I always prefer more darker shades in blush as I find bright pinks just make me look barbyish. It's worth just mentioning here that this blush smells incredible! I can't even describe the scent but it is seriously amazing. This is another product in my makeup bag that also comes with a brush so no need to carry around a big blush brush.
-Laura Mercier Secret Concealer in shade 1. This concealer is lovely and creamy and is a dream to work with, the shade also matches my skin perfectly.
-Revlon eye shadows, I always just wear neutral creams and brown shades on my eyes and my current favourites are these three Revlon eye shadows. They are very well pigmented and stay put pretty much all day, I just carry them with me if I am going out in the evening after work and need to top up. I have the H&M eye shadow brush to apply the eye shadows with.
-L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighter Pen, this is perfect for covering up dark circles and highlighting around the eye area.
-Rimmel Brow Pencil, for quickness and ease I often just fill my brows in with a pencil and this has been my favourite since I was about 10 years old.
-Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara, this is the best mascara I have ever tried so is now a permanent fixture in my makeup bag. Plus I absolutely love the gold packaging, it makes it look so luxurious and expensive.
-Urban Decay double ended eye liner, this came in one of my Naked palettes that I have. I tend to use the brown liner for more day time looks and black for the evening to create a more glamorous look. I do much prefer the softer eye liners to the Kohl eye liners purely because I just find them easier to apply and not as harsh looking.
-Last but not least it's the Clinique Moisture Surge Eye Gel, I swear by this stuff and quite often apply over my makeup throughout the day to refresh my eyes. This is a must for my makeup bag and I will never be without it.

So that's it, my current everyday makeup bag. I hope you enjoyed this post, please leave a comment below with the products you keep in your makeup bag, I would love to see if any of you have any of the same products as myself.
