Beauty Bridal Collections
This post has been inspired from a picture uploaded by Elleuk on Instragram showing the new Essie Bridal collection of nail polishes. Having then researched this new collection (I have a very valid reason to do so after all...I have my best friends wedding coming up and need an appropriate nail colour of course) I did a screenshot of the beautiful collection and sent it to all in the wedding WhatsApp group.
This limited edition range features six shades: "lace to the altar," "dress is more," "blush-worthy," "sage you love me," "to have and to gold," and "berry in love." Each shade will be available in April 2017 for a limited time only.
Clinique have taken 3 shades of lipstick names Will You? , Honeymoon and I Do! and created 3 different wedding looks. They have named each look from the palettes of colour they have used. You can view their look books here.
- Garden Wedding- Rich browns meet freshly-picked pinks for a soft, romantic look.
- Beach Wedding- Barely-there nudes and softly sculpted cheeks create a natural-looking glow.
- Beach Wedding- Make a dramatic statement for your big day with violets and plums.
Bobbi Brown have released their Bridal Essentials from their makeup range as well as a step by step guide/makeup lesson on how to achieve a look that is suited for a Bride.
Benefit have also put together 3 bridal looks, Natural Beauty, Romantic Goddess and Couture Chic seen here using some of their award winning products. Using products from the base up, they have carefully selected colours that reflect the different looks. They have also included a step by step guide for each look for those Brides that have chosen to do their makeup themselves, or enlisted the help of friends to do their makeup.

Laura Mercier Makeup Artists believe that you can achieve different looks all from using 2 strong elements such as the lips, blush or eyes.
“Our key looks are Beach Bride; pink lips and a pop of blush, Bombshell Bride; strong brow and red lip, Fall In Love Bride; berry lips and coffee eyes, and Daytime Chic Bride; smokey caramel eye and nude lip.”
Looking at the different shades that these Brands have used, I have seen some new releases from the cheaper brands below that I feel could work just as well if you (or the bride) is on a budget and doing your own makeup as opposed to getting a makeup artist.
The Eyes Uncovered palette in Nude Rose by Collection can create 2 looks for the day. A subtle natural daytime look and then a darker enhanced look for the evening.
The Blushed Nudes palette by Maybelline incorporates the dreamy romantic look as well as the darker colours to highlight in the evening.
For a romantic look Benefit's poppy pink tinted lip and cheek stain would be perfect as the colour is enough to brighten but not be too overpowering.
When it comes to lips I think there is only one brand that will fit the job and that's Smashbox with their Always on Liquid Lipstick. Long lasting and water resistant, looks as fresh 8 hours later as when you first put it on.
