Why I love Autumn

by - Monday, September 22, 2014

It has been a while since I last did a post as I just have not found the time to sit down and write one since i got back from holiday. However, I though as we've entered a new season what better way to start up again. I have lots of exciting new post ideas and look forward to your response from them.
But now onto why I love the Autumn Season

As much as I love summer, Autumn to me means it's time to hibernate and get excited for Christmas as I see the Chocolates go onto the supermarket shelves and the Christmas gift ideas go into all the shops. The themed drinks in Costa appear such as my favourite Gingerbread Latte or Cinnamon Latte instead of a standard Latte, just adds that little bit of autumn flavouring to our taste buds. The closer we get to Christmas we see the novelty Christmas takeaway cups.

I love A/W fashion as it's a chance to wrap up snug in chunky knitwear, scarfs, hats and coats. It's also a chance to wear boots with skinnies and there is such a choice in shops now with designs and lengths that you can always get what your after.

I love with nights getting colder and darker sooner you can stay in and have early nights watching a film with a hot chocolate (with cream and marshmallows on top) and no one raises an eyebrow as to why.
Before the day comes to an end I like seeing in the night with a walk with the dogs wrapped up wearing my Wellies. The trees become bare and the floor is littered with leaves. Light when you start and dusk as you walk back. Then it's into a warm house for everyone to when cosy up, switch tv on, get dinner ready and stay in for the night whilst the dogs fall asleep under the glow of the tv on the rug.

Halloween parties are being talked about, Halloween outfits are being brought or prepared for the kids (adults as well, why can't we have a little fun) and the sweets for the trick or treaters are being brought, and your secretly buying way to many because in your mind your thinking I can have the leftovers (surely that's not just me that thinks that).

Bonfire nights are being prepared for, the wood and leaves are being piled high on the heap ready to be set light to and the firework shops are reopening for specular displays whether home or a large event at your local town park or school event.
