With another chilled morning I feel that it may be time to cover up with one of this seasons A/W coats.
I brought the gorgeous "Glorious" dusky pink oversized wool coat from French Connection at the start of the year in the sale from £175 to £75. Now when it comes to sales everything that I tend to see that I really like is always a size or two bigger, so when I saw on the label that it was a size 10 and even more so how much it was reduced by I felt that it was meant to be. I was meant to buy this coat, well that's what I tell myself anyway.
I initially started looking around the shops and online as I have thought about getting a Trench Coat as sometimes it's not cold enough to wear a thick coat. I have noticed this season the continuation of pastel colours such as the pinks, lilacs, blues and mint green. I think these are really pretty colours and perfect for autumn as a subtle colour which can be worn with many other colours.
A lot of the styles I have come across are the oversized, double breasted and skirted coats. I really like the idea of the skirted coats as it looks slightly more formal and elegant but can be worn with a modern image such as skinnies and boots.

There are also the coats that are more of a statement piece with vibrant colours, capes and textures, such as the blanket which combines all and the faux fur, tweeds and checks which inject winter into your wardrobe in my opinion.

What style and colour will you be wearing this A/W?
