Hey everyone, so it has been over a year since last posting and A LOT has changed! My life got hectic with managing the house, looking after a baby and keeping my blog up to date.

So where do I start...Harrison is nearly three! I don't know where that time has gone and as much as its sad he's no longer my little baby, its nice that he's not so dependent on me anymore.
Secondly we are house hunting (not urgent to move but keeping a look out) for a bigger family home that can be our long term home. Lastly, I'm now my OWN boss, but ill go into that in another post.

Ill be having a blog revamp over the next week or so, ill still be doing my beauty/fashion posts but as you'll appreciate my life has changed and I would like my blog to reflect where I am now and what my likes are. I shall now be incorporating toddler and lifestyle posts which I hope you like just as much as my previous posts.

I look forward to connecting with you all again!

I have used the company bakerdays in the past and have always been very impressed by their cake designs, flavours and pricing.
I love the idea of the letterbox cakes to send to relatives that you may not have the opportunity to see on their special day, they wouldn't need to be in to take delivery and when they open they get the surprise gift.

I was contacted by the lovely people of bakerdays to see whether I would like to participate in their fathers day campaign to receive and review one of their 5 inch Letterbox Cakes. Now what dad wouldn't want to receive cake, and his own at that. This small size cake provides 3-4 portions, perfect for a family to share.

bakerdays enables you to choose your filling from traditional sponge to chocolate, fruit to marble and seasonal flavours such as lemon and red velvet. There is also the option for dairy/gluten free (at an additional charge).
You also get the chance to choose from their wide range of designs (for any occasion), perhaps personalise a design or even upload an image to have the ultimate personalised cake.
The personalisation takes the form of printing on the soft white icing that covers the entire cake. The icing comes down to the base so that the cake itself is completely sealed, meaning a nice fresh cake to eat upon arrival. The cake has of course had to be reduced in size to of course live up to his name so therefore it has 1 layer as opposed to the tradition 2. It does however still have the buttercream (at the bottom of the cake)
Of the cakes that I have personally brought and this one gifted, I have always found that the sponge is moist, light and fluffy and the buttercream buttery and rich just how I (we) like it!

Postage
As the name suggested when the cake arrives, it does actuyally fit through a letterbox (within a small thin box) The cake is presented in a lovely presentation tin that contains the cake itself, note card, balloons, a candle and a party blower. Everything that the recipient will need to celebtrate the occasion.
The tin is unbranded and re-usable and protects the cake perfectly inside.
The packaging was well presented and designed to make it easy for you to get the cake out without ruining it.

bakerdays Letterbox Cakes cost £14.99 and have free postage if you place the order 3 days in advance. If you require the cake sooner then there would be an additional postage charge.

Win A Personalised bakerdays Cake of your Own!

If you would like to win your very own personalised bakerdays cake, please follow me on here on Twitter and RT the competition post. Winner will be picked at random and announced on Friday evening. Good Luck!

So now we have a holiday booked and we have had a few sunny days, I have started looking for just a few extra summer clothes for our holiday. He has a lot of t-shirts and shorts for the daytime so I'm only really looking for a few evening outfits for him.

I love the Nautical theme that I have seen in the shops at the moment, the boat/deck shoes, flip flops, summer coloured chino trousers and shorts, Bermuda shorts, linen shorts, cute tees and themed jumpers for the evening. They even had accessories! Trilby straw hats and cool aviator sunglasses.

Zara and H&M are always my go-to when I'm shopping for Harrison as they always have a variety of styles and colours and I know the quality of the items will last.

I also really like Gap for him, however I do find that our Gap in town don't stock a lot of sizes so it's a little hit and miss.

Now I am well aware that they are slightly more pricey as well, hence why the items I buy from these shops are what I class as 'nice items' I.e. not clothing to be worn at Nursery or whilst doing messy play. I have no shame in admitting that I go to Primark and get clothing for him there and I don't care if its ruined by paints etc because it probably only cost maximum of £5.

What styles will you be putting your little ones in this summer?
Send me links to your summer wardrobe hauls.

This is my first toddler haul past. I recently had a big clear out of Harrison's clothes which he had outgrown, however he still had lots that he's still not quite into but that hasn't stopped me from having a little shop for him.
Harrison is now very good on his feet and loves being outside and walking by himself. He has had lots of soft bottom shoes but I wanted to start getting him some proper shoes. We brought him his first pair (or two) of doodle Clark shoes, one for everyday and then a pair of summer sandals.

Next were some cute PJS's with Robots all over from Boots.

I love Baby Gap and couldn't resist getting these 2 t-shirts and shirt. I love the Embroidered Brannan Bear and couldn't resist getting something with it on. He used to have the bodysuits when he was really little and has the majority of the shorts ready for the summer. I'll probably get a few more of the polo shirts as this is something that he doesn't have many of.

Lastly was his summer jacket from Joules. He has a warmer parka jacket from Next but now the warmer weather is coming I wanted to get him a lighter jacket that he can wear when its slightly breezy outside. This is not waterproof, something else I have realised he could do with; a rainmac.

Talking out the outdoors, now he's into proper shoes I can finally get him his first pair of wellies. Our local garden centre have lots of cute kiddy wellies so ill be picking up a pair the next time we go.

If you have brought your toddler anything new recently comment below your links.

So the build up to the wedding ended the minute you woke up on the day. If something has been forgotten..so be it. Next is making sure that today goes as smoothly as possible and that starts with being ready on time. Makeup done, Hair done, Getting ready pictures done, Few glasses of bubbly drank done, fitted into dress now just to slip the shoes on and we are ready to go.

The day is long and tiring and you don't know how many times you have said "thank you" or "yes please" (to another drink!). Now I haven't convinced my other half to walk me down the aisle yet but from speaking to friends and family the wedding night isn't as romantic as they make out in films.
It's a case of firstly getting of these shoes that have encased your feet all day and it feels amazing, next is shouting to your maid of honour, mum or whoever is closest to your room to help you out of your dress as your now husband is passed out on the bed from drinking your dad/granddad/uncle under the table and having shots with his mates. You then have the hundreds of bobby pins that have very kindly kept your hair in place to take out so you can at least enjoy a good night sleep on that big bouncy pillow that looks oh so amazing. Finally its getting this makeup off that has made you look and feel a million dollars all day.
After all that, you get into bed and less than 5 minutes later your dreaming about the day you've just had.

Now its time to start dreaming or thinking about the next best thing after a wedding...a little break away to celebrate all your hard work planning your amazing wedding. My DREAM honeymoon is the Maldives and I cant wait to visit the islands and explore.
As well as the destination you next have to think about where you are staying and as your on our honeymoon of course its only the best!

I have picked 5 other destinations that I would love to visit and also the hotel that I would pick to stay in.

Bora Bora- Four Seasons

An Island in the French Polynesia, known as the most romantic island in the world.  The Four Seasons is set on a private sand-fringed islet on the barrier reef. 107 overwater bungalows and villas with views of Mount Otemanu.

Bali- The Legian Bali

An Indonesian Island known as the famed Island of the gods and popular for its yoga and mediation retreats. The Legian has 67 understated suites, a 3 bedroom beach house and 14 private villas all within a tropical hideaway overlooking the Indian Ocean.

Dubai- Atlantis, The Palm

Glamorous and an over-the-top playground for the VIP's or simply those that want to live the VIP lifestyle for a few days. The hotel is themed on the myth of Atlantis which includes Arabian elements. Enjoy the famous Aquarium and waterpark when not enjoying the brilliant sunshine.

New York- The Plaza

The most populated state in the United States. Consists of 5 different boroughs, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, The Bronx and Staten Island. The Plaza was constructed in the most fashionable residential section of New York City, Fifth Avenue and Central Park South. First opening its doors in 1907, for over 100 years it has been the hotel to see and be seen. Guests have included Kings, Presidents and stage/film stars. It has also been used in the old classic Hollywood films to modern day filming.

Bahamas- Emerald Bay, Great Exuma

Consists of 700 plus Islands, Cays and Islets in the Atlantic Ocean boasting the clearest water in the planet. Enjoy Pristine white sand beaches, endless watersports and local history. Emerald Bay is set on a privileged enclave of The Bahama's offering Bahamian-style architecture of elegant villas and suites, secluded within 500 tropical acres along a pristine mile long beach. As well as the beach it also features a 150-slip deepwater marina.

Please leave your dream honeymoon destination in the comments below or perhaps you've had your honeymoon, would love to hear where you went and where you stayed.
Never to early to start planning!
