Favourite things to do to feel festive

Are you struggling getting in the Christmas spirit? Is the stress of Christmas overtaking the festive feeling?
I sat down and thought if this was me what would I do.....

Surround yourself with Festive Joy

1. Visit a Coca Cola Truck
Endless Christmas songs, fake snow, freebies, Picture opportunities and lots of people getting excited about Christmas.

2. Visit your local Christmas Market.
Visit the endless stalls & chalets selling all things christmassy to fill up those stockings and buy some quirky presents, sip on Mulled wine and drink tankards of beer all whilst tuck into a bratwurst.

3. Visit a Grotto
Take your child/ren or younger sibling (or any younger member of family) to visit Santa so they can tell him what they want for Christmas. Nothing better than seeing little faces get excited and happy to see Santa's Elf's and the big man himself.

Start decorating the house

As much as you might hate getting all the boxes down from the loft, its time!
Get that Christmas Tree out and up and start decorating with all your pretty decorations. Get all your family around to help. Don't just stop at the tree, decorate the whole house.
Put some Christmas music on, turn the volume up and have a little dance as your doing it.

Watch a Christmas movie

It's ok it's officially December so it's socially acceptable to dust off the Christmas films, get your snacks and curl up the sofa and put one on. As much as you don't like to admit it, you get that warm feeling in your heart watching them. You sure to feel a little festive after listening to the Christmas songs, seeing the decorations and a happy ending.

Eat and drink Christmassy

Have a Christmas coffee i.e Gingerbread, Toffee Nut, Eggnog etc. Tuck into a Turkey Sandwich, Pigs in Blankets etc.

Countdown

Advent calendars aren't just for kids!

Get Buying

Make a list, checking it twice! (gonna find out who's naughty and nice..Santa Claus is coming to town) start buying gifts for loved one and get wrapping.  Send out Christmas cards (maybe arrange a get together in the New Year for those you haven't seen in a while).
Stock up now on the Christmas food i.e sweets, crisps, drink, Boxing Day finger food.

Get Baking

Get on Pinterest and look up Christmas baking ideas. Fill the house with the sweet smell of cake. Why not head to the supermarket and get your Gingerbread House Kit to decorate and show off to your visitors.
