Review: Halo Wipes

I was recently sent the collection of halo wipes (shop here

The collection includes Moistened Toilet Tissues, Fragrance Free Makeup Wipes, Deodorant Wipes, Hand Wipes, Anti- Bacterial Multi-Surface Wipes and Eye Make-up Remover Pads.

Yellow: Moistened Toilet Tissues
Green: Fragrance Free Makeup Wipes Purple: Deodorant Wipes Light Blue: Hand Wipes Blue: Anti- Bacterial Multi-Surface Wipes Pink: Eye Make-up Remover Pads
Each packet of Halo Wipes have white packaging with different colour writing to differentiate the use of the Wipes and a simple but elegant design on them. They all come in a compact size small enough to carry in a handbag (baby changing bag in my case for some). I received packs which contained 10 wipes in each which was plenty for this review.

Removing makeup without scrubbing your face until it's all removed

When it comes to Facial Wipes, I don't tend to use these that often. I am more of a facial cleanser type of girl. However I will always have a packet in the bathroom for those night outs when it's too late to do your usual regime but you know you can't sleep in your makeup.
I found that because of the size of the Wipes, I had to use 2/3 Wipes to remove all traces of my makeup. However for a quick freshen up and retouch these would be ideal.

I am always really sceptical about using Eye Remover pads as they tend to leave my eye area red from having to scrub particularly to remove my mascara. I found that these Wipes did remove my mascara easily but it also left me with the attractive 'panda eyes' as it seemed to smudge around the eye area instead of stick to the wipe. I then had to use a further wipe to remove the remaining panda eye smudges around my eyes.

Keeping fresh

I thought the Deodorant Wipes were a brilliant idea. I used for keeping fresh on an unexpected trip to see friends after a day out. I felt that the wipes freshened me up as well as leaving a light fragranced smell. The packaging is small enough to fit in a handbag so you are able to have a quick freshen up in the car.
These small packs could also easily fit in weekend bags, gymbags, car glove box or work drawer.
I would also recommend these for those attending festivals due to the size of the packet instead of bulking out your bag with large packets of baby wipes.

Hygiene matters

There is nothing worse than using a public toilet which has no toilet paper, Luckily I always carry a pack of tissues in my bag. Would I usually use moistened Toilet Tissue? The answer is no. Why I think people use moistened Toilet Tissue? For that little bit of extra cleanliness and luxury.
I have used these for post pregnancy purposes as I felt that they enabled me to keep my stitches (sorry if TMI) cleaner throughout the day than using ordinary tissue.
I would definitely recommend taking a few packets of these for camping trips or festivals.

Since my flying days, I always carry Anti-Bac Hand Gel. However, now having Harrison and carrying baby wipes I can see the point of Hand Wipes. Wipes are great for Anti-Bac purposes but also to clean mess up instead of simply sanitising hands before eating or after being somewhere less clean. The wipes may be small but they are still very effective at removing dirt and spillages.

There is always a time when you are out for lunch/coffee, find a table and its dirty. This is when the Anti-Bac Multi Surface Wipes come in handy. Since having Harrison I am more cautious of the surface I put his things on, I hate the thought of transferring germs to him.

These wipes are available to buy from Superdrug, Boots, Sainsbury's, Asda and Tesco.

20 percent of women have got romantic with a colleague at the Christmas party
A survey of 2,000 women, carried out by beauty brand Halo Wipes, revealed 25 percent make sure they are wearing sexy underwear just for the occasion, and 31 percent think they will probably do something they regret.
The survey also found that women spend over two-and-a-half-hours getting ready for their work’s Christmas party and the average spend on a new outfit is £60.12.
